FeedDemon comes in Free and Pro editions. In this way, you will not have to go through any settings.

When you launch FeedDemon for the first time, a wizard will guide you through a few initial settings. You can set the application to add a number of feeds right away, so you can see how it works. You may create and name folders, in a tree structure, to organize your feeds by category. When subscribing to a new feed, a wizard will ask for its URL and a destination folder.

The software comes with a built-in web browser, which supports multiple tabs. When you click an RSS link, while using this browser, the subscription wizard will launch immediately and it will paste the feed's URL automatically. Articles are listed in a collapsible structure. Clicking an article will extend it, to reveal the entire text, along with images or web videos. Alternatively, you may click the article's title to go to its source web page.

A series of options are available for each article. You can use them to send articles by email, share them on Facebook, Twitter, or other social medias, subscribe to comments, tag them and more. FeedDemon lets you associate one or more tags with a single article or select existing tags. Tagged articles are displayed in a different folder, in the same tree menu, making them easier to spot. Another folder contains all your articles, but organized in different categories, such as Unread, Shared, Today's and Yesterday's. If you upgrade to FeedDemon's Pro version, you will be able to manage content filters, download media files and copy them to your iPod or other similar devices and more.
